The minute we hear the word Aquatica we then right away think of the word water and this is really true for Aquatica is one water park that is the sister park of the world famous SeaWorld.
This great family vacation destination will never run out of choices for every member of the family. Both the young and old will have loads of fun when coming to Aquatica for a "watery adventure". No doubt, it has state of the art pools, slides and raft rides. But what makes Aquatica unique is how it also has animal habitats in the place so that visitors here can also get the chance to meet and greet our animal friends.
Among all the rides here, the body and mat slides are the favourite and the lines to this ride can get real long most especially during peak seasons. The Dolphin Plunge and Taumata Racer is an enclosed tube slide that lets you pass through Commerson's dolphins pod and the other is an 8-lane racing slide passing through open and enclosed sections, respectively.
On the other hand there also are raft slides here namely the, Whanau Way and Tassie's Twisters lets you and a few family members or friends just sit back and enjoy the watery place. If you are looking for a more adventurous ride with your family or your friends then the multi-person raft slides are just what's for you. The Walhalla Wave gives you a twisty ride and slide in pitch-dark sections, while the HooRoo Run on the other hand is a triple-dip slide which isn't just short and sweet but is also short and fast. If you happen to be an adrenaline junkie then ride on Omaka Rocka that will give you a tornado funnel layer look.
For a more relaxed ride, the Lazy Rivers will give you just that. If you want to ride fast then the Roa's Rapids is also available. It has geysers that will surprise you and speed zones to leave your thrill satisfied. The Loggerhead Lane is the more relaxed ride that will let you pass cichlids grotto and the Commerson's dolphin exhibit. For the beach lovers, the wave pools will take care of that. This generously built place has an 80,000 square foot of white sand beach complete with lounge chairs and umbrellas to complete the ambience.
The Cutback Cove has strong, tall waves and the Big Surf Shores has gentler, rolling waves. For the younger kids, the children's area will give them that same excitement the grown ups has only it's built for them. The Kata's Kookaburra Cove has slides and play features that make them excited to go ahead and dive. If ladders and water buckets are what tickles the imagination of your kids then bring them to Walkabout Waters to make those imaginations become reality.
